Criminal Records Bureau (CRB)
The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) enables organisations to make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work, especially work involving children or vulnerable adults.
SEE are registered with the CRB as an ‘umbrella organisation’. Our service is well-suited to organisations who do not process the minimum of 100 applications per year required by the CRB. As an umbrella organisation, we can countersign and process application forms on your behalf before sending them to the CRB for official checking.
There are two levels of CRB check currently available: Standard and Enhanced Disclosures. Further information about the checks and associated costs can be found on the CRB website at www.crb.gov.uk.
In addition to the fee charged by the CRB, SEE charge an administration fee for each disclosure.
Our umbrella service is available to all members of SEE.
