Regional Induction Seminar for Newly Elected Councillors
- Wednesday 2 July 2008 at Oakwood House, Maidstone
Cost: £99 per delegate
As a newly elected councillor there is a bewildering amount of information to absorb and numerous and often conflicting demands on your time. Whilst individual authorities will have an induction programme for their own new councillors, SEE is again running a Regional Induction Seminar to complement this.
Purpose of the day
- to give newly elected councillors an overview of key regional and national issues
- to provide some practical aids and assistance to help with the every day challenges of being a member of a local authority.
The programme will include a mixture of presentations and practical workshops with contributions from SEE Member Peers.
Quotes from delegates at the Regional Induction Seminar 2007:
“An extremely informative, interesting and educational day.”
“Great lecturers. All first class.”
“Very useful day. Covered a difficult subject very successfully.”
A full programme will be available nearer the time. To make sure you are kept updated please contact Leah Winter.
