Health & Safety Awareness

Aim

At the end of the course, delegates should have an awareness and understanding of:

  • the key legal requirements of employers and employees under the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act;
  • the principal health, safety and fire hazards in an office environment, and be able to suggest means of avoiding or minimising them;
  • the specific hazards associated with the use of Display Screen Equipment (VDUs, PCs, etc) and the control measures to be taken.

Target Audience

Managers, Supervisors and employees who have an interest in learning about, or "brushing up" on health and safety in the workplace.

Duration

Half Day: 9.30am – 12.30pm or 1.30pm - 4.30pm

Style

This is a participative event that blends tutor presentations, experience sharing and practical work.

Venue

This programme can be run on your premises or at a shared venue for a group of authorities.
