Local Government Employers (LGE)

The LGE was created by the LGA to work with authorities, stakeholders and partners to lead, create and deliver solutions on pay, pensions and employment issues.

Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA)

The IdeA was created by local government for local government. Its work is grounded in the belief that local government has the capacity to lead its own improvement both by learning from itself and also through its unique democratic relationship with the communities and individuals it serves. It is ambitious for the future of local governments and aims to help the sector realise its own potential and drive an improvement agenda of its own making.

Government Office for the South East (GOSE)

Government Offices exist to manage regional programmes on behalf of participating Departments, to support and facilitate effective linkages between partners and programmes and to inform the development of Departments' policies from a regional perspective.

South East England Development Agency (SEEDA)

SEEDA's aim is to create a prosperous, dynamic and inspirational region by helping businesses compete more effectively, training a highly skilled workforce, supporting and enabling our communities, while safeguarding our natural resources and cherishing our rich cultural heritage.

South East England Regional Assembly (SEERA)

Their vision is for South East England to be a distinctive, outward looking, accessible region of prosperous, sustainable communities, with a high quality of life and environment.

Local Government Association (LGA)

The LGA exists to promote better local government. They work with and for member authorities to realise a shared vision of local government that enables local people to shape a distinctive and better future for their locality and its communities.

Representing the Employers side on the South East Regional Joint Committee, we work closely with the regional UNISON office and other regional trade union representatives.

Association of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Local Authorities (HIOW)

Aim to:

  • Improve joint working between the local authorities in the region.

  • Make the new local government system as effective as possible.

  • Look after the interests of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight in the South East Region, the UK and in Europe.

Association of Councils of the Thames Valley Region (ACTVaR)

ACTVaR is the sub-regional local government association for Berkshire, Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire . This three-County grouping comprises the Thames Valley administrative area
