Sian Campbell
Development Consultant
Sian has specific expertise in working with senior officers, elected members, and public/ private/ voluntary sector partnerships to deliver strategic policy development, performance management and improvement (including Scrutiny and Accountability), and deliverable outcomes. She was formerly the Programme Manager for Progress through Partnership, an Improvement and Efficiency South East funded programme, to build the capacity of partnerships and speed the exchange of information, experience and expertise between them. Before joining SEE, Sian worked in policy development at Hampshire County Council, and before that she was an economic development and regeneration consultant, working in a series of assignments across the UK.
Sian is the lead for the South East Mentoring Programme. As an experienced mentor herself she works closely with individuals to ensure they maximise their potential at work. She also helps local authorities to set up and manage their own programmes. Sian retains an academic interest in stress and performance and has published widely in the field. She is also an ACAS trained investigator and has carried out a number of investigations for all tiers of local authority.

Approach to Training
Sian adopts a participative approach to training and development. Drawing on a blend of academic and practical expertise she fully involves participants to ensure they are in a position to put into practice their new skills and knowledge. She has extensive experience of working with both councillors and officers and employs a wide variety of methods to cater for different learning preferences, making certain that everyone is fully engaged and involved in their own learning and development.
