Developing Effective Partnerships & Community Engagement for elected members
This programme looks at how to facilitate closer working at a local level between organisations involved in the delivery of local services; involving citizens’ and the member’s role in facilitating effective partnerships. The programme also focuses on how to support effective community engagement and leadership within your council.
Partnership working is not new to elected members but the modernisation and efficiency agenda has put a new emphasis on partnership working and the issues you may be asked to tackle. Public Service Agreements, Local Area Agreements and Local Strategic Partnerships lead to councils being at the forefront of engagement with the public, private and voluntary sector.
