Asbestos Awareness
A half-day workshop aimed at ensuring that anyone who may come across asbestos-containing materials in the course of their work is familiar with the necessary precautions and legislative controls imposed by the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.
Target audience
All those, including managers, supervisors and operatives, involved in building, repair, or refurbishment who may come across asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in the course of their work.

- the potential health risks and different types of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs)
- the key precautions to be taken with regard to any work involving asbestos
- the key legislative controls relating to asbestos, in particular the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 and its associated Approved Codes of Practice.

The Asbestos Awareness course is intended to meet the requirements of Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 for Asbestos Awareness Training only (para 124 ACoP).
