Managing the Pace

Aim

To help employees to recognise their own sources of stress and develop strategies to interrupt unhelpful patterns before they can impact adversely on performance, self-esteem and health.

Target audience

All levels of staff who would like to understand more about stress and how to manage it effectively.

  • Change and how to manage it effectively

  • Assertiveness as a stress management tool
  • Expectations of self - how we may contribute to our own stress levels

  • Work stress and how to cope
  • Developing problem solving skills
  • Effective time management
  • Action planning - how to apply what has been learnt
  • Evaluation

Style

There will be a mixture of tutor input, questionnaires, group discussions and practical exercises.  Participants will be encouraged to develop individual action plans to help them apply some of the techniques used.

Venue

This programme can be run on your premises or at a shared venue for a group of authorities.
