Emergency Treatment At Work*
Aim
At the end of the course, delegates should understand:
- the principles of Emergency First Aid
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- treatment of an unconscious casualty
- control of bleeding
- records and first aid boxes
Duration
Half day (3 hour module): 9.30am to 12.30pm or 1.30pm to 4.30pm
Target Audience
Any employee required to be able to administer emergency first aid before the arrival of the Emergency Services. This course is particularly suitable for those employees who work alone or in situations where a qualified First Aider is not present.
* This course is presented in accordance with the guidance issued by the Health and Safety Executive in respect of the Health And Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Style
Please note: This course is participative and all members are required to participate in the treatment of an unconscious casualty session.
Venue
This programme can be run on your premises or at a shared venue for a group of authorities.
