What’s stopping you from going for, or getting that promotion?
- Uncertainties about your abilities and skills?
- Self limiting thoughts/beliefs?
- Concerns about your work/life balance?
Perhaps your circumstances have changed and you are now ready to realise your potential or have been in a managerial role for a while and feel stuck. It’s time to stop in your tracks, take an objective look at you and your world and select your career and life pathway.
The public sector has displayed some best practice with the equality agenda. Twenty years ago only 5% of MPs were women compared with 18% today. Almost a quarter of the civil service top management are now women. However, sex equality is far from sorted.
Target audience
Female managers in middle and senior positions. Our mixed groups in terms of job roles and seniority have worked very well with previous programmes. Please be assured that you will ‘fit’ well.
Benefits of attending the programme
You will gain real insight into your strengths, skills and abilities as well as your work style preferences through the use of a range of psychometric instruments in a supportive environment. You will build a greater understanding of the factors that currently limit you and will have the opportunity, to receive one-to-one feedback. Combine this with course input and access to professional networking and mentoring opportunities and you will be ready to take a leap beyond your current expectations. We will also invite a guest speaker (role model) to the last session.
Programme outline
Experience the blend of:
- Structured input and time for reflection on key issues such as managing your work and your life, political and influencing skills, empowering/limiting beliefs and impression management.
- Individual assessment and feedback from 2 qualified experts covering a whole range of abilities and behaviours – ultimately focused on the managerial role.
- Professional networking with like minded women.
- Hearing from successful female managers (potential role models).
