South East Mentoring Programme

Mentoring can transform your thinking, challenge your perceptions and develop your knowledge, skills and networks.

The South East Mentoring Programme was launched on 15 January 2008 at the University of Surrey.

Group discussion        15 January 2008

Evaluative comments from the session included:

“Good introduction to mentoring and good handout material to take away”

“Well facilitated open discussions with participants”

“Very helpful.  Wider scope than I had realised”

“Key objectives for mentee/mentor fully explained”

This is an ongoing initiative and we seek further mentors and mentees, from chief executive and senior management level through to new entrants to local government.

We will run start-up sessions at SEE on a regular basis from 10.00 a.m. for a 10.30am start to finish with a light lunch at 12.30pm.  This will be followed by an optional skills development programme for mentors from 1.30-3.30 p.m.

Forthcoming dates: 26th June, 16th July, 16th September, 15th October, 12th November and 10th December 2008.
