On 14 September 2010, SEE together with Create Today Tomorrow, held their first Women as Leaders Conference at the University of Winchester. The day comprised keynote speakers, interactive workshops and various stands for delegates to browse. It proved to be very "buzzy" attacting over 80 women from the public, private and voluntary sectors.
Jumoké Fashola, an award winning radio and television broadcaster and jazz singer welcomed everyone, followed with the welcome address from Professor Joy Carter, (Vice Chancellor of the University of Winchester) and Jennifer McNeill (Regional Director, SEE).
Having been "warmed up" by Sarah Warwick giving the audience the courage to sing, Isabelle Simon-Evans from Radian, gave a talk on "Why Women Lead Well"

Delegates heard from Sandy Hopkins (Chief Executive, Havant Borough Council & East Hampshire District Council) on "Leading from the Front".(notes to follow shortly).
A plenary session took place between attendees and Sandy, Joy, Isabelle and Jennifer with good thought provoking questions asked.
