Supporting Effective Facilitation and Empowerment

This workshop is designed to help Councillors develop the skills to facilitate group discussions or consultations with partners, residents or community representatives.

On completion of this training Councillors will be able to:

• understand how to prepare effectively for running a facilitation or consultation session
• use a range of facilitation techniques
• manage groups and individual participants
• draw up an action plan for developing their facilitation skills.
