This session is designed to identify the ways in which overview and scrutiny can support council and community improvement. You will explore the key role of overview and scrutiny in monitoring and improving performance and be able to lead and respond to community concerns to help shape improved services.
By the end of the workshop, Councillors will be able to:
The course will consist of some input (around 35-45 minutes) from the facilitator and a number of group discussions and practical exercises. Participants will be encouraged to draw up an action plan to apply some of the skills and knowledge learnt.
