East Sussex Partnerships

East Sussex has coordinated the use of PtP resources through their well established LSP Coordinator and Chair network. The group agreed to pool some of its PtP training credits to fund joint work across the county. An Integrated East Sussex Sustainable Community Strategy is being developed and the pooled fund was used to finance some common event s to support this work which will feed into the development of their next generation LAA. So far the group has organised a ‘Dynamics of Place’ workshop, making use of contacts developed through the PtP programme to draw in an appropriate expert speaker.

The event created the opportunity for some in depth discussion and analysis of the county’s strengths and challenges and helped develop the base-line information which will help set the context and inform a chapter for the developing East Sussex Integrated Sustainable Community Strategy. Through the PtP programme the group is now developing a second event for LSP partners and Elected Members to explore better joint working and possible priorities for the next generation LAA.
