New PtP Funds Available

PtP would like to announce the second central fund which LSPs can draw upon for financial support for partnership development activities in 08/09.

Key points to note are:

• Every LSP will be able to access £4,000

• A pre-requisite for accessing funds will be the completion of a second LSP self assessment.  (Reduced and more light touch)

• Deadline for submitting the self assessment and the application is 31st October 2008.

We are assessing how you collectively made use of the fund last year; however I can share the following preliminary information:

• Over 130 separate development activities have been undertaken.  

• 67 of the 74 local authority areas in the southeast made use of the fund in some way

• 59 local authority areas drew down funds for bespoke work to develop their LSP

• Over a third of the central fund was spent on activities pooled across a county area or by neighbouring LSPs

How the first central fund has been used and the level of its impact will be further analysed as part of the PtP evaluation currently being undertaken and we will report in more detail in September.
