About Progress through Partnership
Progress through Partnership (PtP) was launched in April 2007 to build the capacity of Partnerships in the south east region, and to speed the exchange of information, experience and expertise between them. PtP is rooted in the government’s ‘improvement and efficiency’ agenda driving all local authorities.
We offer a news service, funding, and a range of events and resources to every Partnership in the south east region.
Meet the team
PtP is delivered by a team based in offices in Winchester and London supported by associates all over the region.
PtP Host Agencies
PtP is a collaboration between host agencies South East Employers (SEE), one of nine regional employers' organisations representing the interests of local authorities and public sector bodies in England, and Shared Intelligence (Si), an independent regeneration, social policy and research consultancy specialising in partnership development, neighbourhod renewal and capacity building in local, regional and central government.
PtP Core Team
The day-to-day running of PtP is done by:
Programme Manager - Sian Campbell
Partnership and Communications Coordinator - Janine Gill
Business Support Officer - Leah Winter
working with colleagues in Shared Intelligence (Si).
PtP Area Leads
PtP has a team of six Area Leads each of which has overall responsibility for a group of Partnerships, providing the first point of contact for queries and support. Between them they cover every local Partnership in the region: Sian Campbell, Julie Das, Katy Donnelly, Celia Goddard, Ben Lee, and Mark Palmer.
PtP Practitioner Associates
PtP has built a team of PtP Practitioner Associates (PAs) who are individuals with substantial experience of partnership development. This peer-to-peer support is offered free to Partnerships at the point of use.
PtP Governance
Medway Council is the ‘accountable body’ in the framework of governance controlling PtP. A steering group of practitioners and partners from across the region directs the programme.
Who funds PtP?
PtP was commissioned in 2006 and is funded by Improvement and Efficiency South East, the regional improvement partnership.
PtP is delivered under contract, which initially was for one year. SEE and Si developed a tender document and won the contract. This was extended for a second year, covering the period April 2007 to March 2009.
Funding for 2009-2011 has now been allocated, extending the programme for a further two years. A re-specified contract was put out to competitive tender in Autumn 2008; and once again SEE and Si won it.
