Supervisory skills

Aim

To enable aspiring and newly promoted supervisors to understand their role and develop the necessary skills to carry it out effectively.

Venue

The Supervisory Skills course can be run on your premises or at a shared venue for a group of authorities.

About us

SEE is a regional employers' organisation offering a range of training, consultancy and advice to local authorities across the south east. We offer a variety of management training and development tailored to the needs of your organisation.

 

The content will be tailored to meet your specific needs.

The supervisory skills course is usually run over two days but can be redesigned as a one day event.

  • Understand the role of the manager/supervisor
  • Identify your own strengths as a manager and identify areas for development
  • Explore new ways of communicating and supporting employees
  • Describe the principles of motivation and delegation
  • Appreciate the importance of balancing the tasks and people aspects of your role
