Time to act!
The extended deadline of 31 August 2019 for reporting Trade Union Facilities Time figures is fast approaching and nearly half of councils in the South East have yet to submit their data. Your council needs to submit their data using the online Gov.uk tool if they:
- Had more than 49 FTE employees during any seven months of the year to 31 March 2019
- Have at least one Trade Union Representative.
Local Authorities are required to include Trade Union Facilities Time for maintained schools and fire and rescue services, where applicable, in their reports but as separate entries.
For more information on what a public sector employer is required to report on see the Government guidance here.
