Investigations, Case work

Spring Investigations

21 April 2020

During this time of change, challenges and heightened sensitivities, working relationships can become strained. There may also be workplace issues and Investigations that had not been actioned and are now in limbo. This can be uncomfortable for all parties concerned and create further anxieties. The fact that we are mostly working remotely or in different ways does not prevent matters from being progressed and concluded.

At SEE, we continue to conduct investigations and provide a report from which managers can decide how to go forward.

Using video conferencing to speak to people, either individually, or with attendance from their trade union representative or colleague, we take and then agree statements, receive documents securely and prepare reports to inform decision-making about how best to progress and conclude cases. Whilst there are some differences to the normal face to face meetings, there can be benefits to all involved in focusing on concluding outstanding or emerging issues and bringing about closure.

We’re updating our website daily on our designated Covid-19 information page and will continue to update our Q&As based on the questions our Employment Team are receiving via our advice line.
