The Russian invasion of Ukraine has included cyber attacks aimed at the Ukrainian government and banking sector. Western intelligence has warned that more is likely to come. This week the Minister for Cyber Security encouraged organisations to treat cyber security as a boardroom responsibility. On top of the National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) guidance on the heightened cyber threat, they have a board toolkit to support essential conversations between senior leaders and their technical experts. You may also want to make your team aware that the NCSC is hosting a webinar on 12 April to demonstrate its resilience exercising tool, designed to help organisations to better protect themselves and prepare for cyber attacks.
