Monkeypox notifiable disease status

Monkeypox is now a notifiable disease in law following advice from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). It means all doctors in England are required to notify their local council or local Health Protection Team if they suspect a patient has the virus. Labs must also notify UKHSA if the virus is identified in a laboratory sample.
