The LGA has launched new guide for councillors using social media. The guide provides practical advice tailored to different social media platforms and tips on how to handle online abuse across each platform. Social media is an important tool in modern democratic engagement and councillors should be able to use it without fear of abuse they might encounter. The LGA hope these guides will support councillors to utilise social media safely as one of the many tools for engagement with residents.
