The Jo Cox Foundation believe that abuse and intimidation of elected politicians is one of the biggest threats to democracy in the UK and there is significant evidence that this is an issue that is not limited to national politicians. As a result, the Foundation launched the Jo Cox Civility Commission in February to gather practical, implementable solutions to address the issue. There is an open call for submissions from experts on the issue from a professional or personal perspective. Individuals and organisations are welcome to contribute and put forward solutions for the short, medium and long-term. The open call is likely to close in late June or early July.
