Update on the local government pay round for 2025.
UNISON’s NJC committee met earlier today and agreed to recommend that the pay offer should be rejected.
The full picture is as follows:
UNISON – recommending rejection in a consultative ballot to run *16 May to 20 Jun
GMB - recommending rejection in a consultative ballot to run 12 May to 20 Jun
Unite - recommending rejection in a consultative ballot (dates tbc)
(*exact dates may vary by a few days)
Unite and GMB recommending rejection
GMB will consult without a recommendation (ie. neutral)
ALACE has welcomed the offer but will not settle until the main ‘Green Book’ pay deal has been agreed.
