Michelle Biggs is an Employment Relations Consultant for South East Employers. Michelle provides professional and strategic advice and training to heads of HR, education HR professionals, senior managers and councillors on employment-related matters. She assists our members in meeting their business objectives whilst ensuring that they comply with employment legislation and national initiatives. Michelle also delivers value added consultancy and development services to support local government improvement, organisational development, improved performance and capacity building, and good employment practice.

Michelle represents South East Employers at national, regional and local forums and networks, including being an effective interface with national and local government bodies, and chairing regional and local networks.

Michelle has a wealth of experience in employment law, HR matters, equalities and education HR. Before moving to South East Employers in September 2008, Michelle worked for Surrey County Council and the City of London in a variety of HR roles and specialising in employment law and policy and equalities. Her work at Surrey contributed to the HR Department being awarded the CIPD People Management Award 2007 in the category ‘Turning HR policies into practice: the vital role of line managers’. She has particular experience in developing and advising on HR policy and advising on fairness at work and equalities. She also regularly presents seminars and workshops on employment law.
