SEE HR Strategic Networking event 2023

This years annual Strategic HR Conference in London will be held on Tuesday 5 December, at London Councils, 59½ Southwark Street, London SE1 0AL

This is an in-person event and each of our member Councils will be able to send one strategic HR lead free of charge. However, if you have other colleagues who would benefit from attending, please include their details when booking your place, so that we can contact them if places are still available.

Our golden thread for the day will be recruitment and retention. Speaker details and timetable are detailed below:

9.30am: Registration and coffee

10.00am: Resourcing: A top 10 for 2024 – Dr Ruth Adams, Chief Executive, South East Employers

11.00am: National Recruitment Campaign for Local Government – Rebecca Murphy, Senior Adviser (Leadership), and Will Oldham, Adviser (Leadership), Local Government Association

11.30am – Coffee

11.45pm – Employer of Choice – Workshop session led by Michelle Biggs, Employment & People Insight Manager, South East Employers

12.30pm – Lunch

1.00pm/1.15pm Reconvene to continue workshop

2.00pm: The benefits of a strengths based neurodiversity strategy in local government – Lucy Smith, Founder, Inclusive Change

3.00pm – LGA Update: Harry Honour, Senior Advisor (Workforce & Negotiations), Local Government Association

3.30pm – Plenary

3.45pm – Event close

Aimed at:

Heads of HR, or their nominated Strategic Lead, we are encouraging attendance from as many SEE member councils as possible to share the learning and experiences to take back to your own teams. Unfortunately, this means we may need to limit attendance to one Strategic Lead per council to ensure the widest pool of councils able to join us.
