Local Government Apprentice of the Year

We are delighted to once again be supporting our sister organisation promoting the Local Government Apprentice of the Year 2022.

Come and join apprentices across our sector in England to find the Local Government Apprentice of the Year 2022. The countdown is on to find our national shining stars. It could be you!

This is a national event with participants across the country competing to become the Local Government Apprentice of the Year 2022. All Councils in England are encouraged to send one apprentice or more, to take part in the event, to make this a truly National celebration of our apprenticeship talent.

Calling all apprentices…

The Local Government Apprentice of the Year 2022 is an exciting event providing the opportunity for you to learn, network and showcase your skills, expertise, and initiative during this event. You will work in virtual teams to experience the opportunities, risks, and challenges involved in delivering successful local government services, in a developmental environment.

Outline:

• Are you an apprentice in local government looking to push yourself and to test your skills and capability?
• Are you interested in challenging and developing yourself alongside others in the same position?
• Would you like to stand out and be recognised nationally amongst your peers?

This is an opportunity to come together with your peers across the country, in the safe and well supported environment of this development event.

You will need to block out all day on 25 May (08:30 – 16:30) , to work in your designated teams through a series of local government challenges, before coming back together for the morning on 26 May (10:00 – 11:00), with your line managers too, to celebrate the successes of the day and crown our Local Government Apprentice of the Year – will it be you who receives the coveted title?

In addition, you must attend a briefing session for the event on 18 May, from 14:00 – 15:00, where you get to learn much more about the day and what to expect, test out the Zoom technology and ask any questions you may be unsure of. It’s a great opportunity to meet the team who will be supporting you throughout the day too, and ensure you are fully supported.
