Education HR is a complex field that doesn’t always follow the norms of employment law. So our Employment Team work closely with the Local Government Association (LGA) to ensure specialist advice is available to those working in Education.

We provide advice and guidance on all aspects of managing people in the education sector, from queries relating to terms and conditions through to undertaking reviews of organisation structures. We also act as conduit for information to both the LGA and the Department for Education, ensuring crucial on-the-ground experiences and evidence is available to them when needed.

Alongside our regular networking meetings SEE has set up a virtual forum for those working in the education sector, for the purpose of sharing challenges and solutions in real time and raising awareness of key events taking place across the country. We also have a section of our website where you can find key documents and guidance and a dedicated section for SEE Members where you can find more information.

EdPOG Network meetings

This member only network is attended regularly by the LGA and Department for Education, members of this group set their own agenda. The main focus is sharing experiences and knowledge to help and support colleagues across the region. Meetings are held monthly.
