Manager as a coach and mentor

Across the programme, participants will develop a clear understanding of what coaching and mentoring are, how they differ, and when each approach is most helpful. The session explores how managers can use coaching‑mentor principles to build stronger relationships, increase engagement and motivation, and encourage greater ownership and accountability within their teams.

The programme is highly interactive, with opportunities to practise skills, reflect on real workplace scenarios and explore how to apply learning in day‑to‑day management conversations. An optional follow‑up session, ideally around four weeks later, provides space to reflect on what has worked well, share successes and explore any challenges encountered when putting coaching‑mentor approaches into practice.

The programme can be delivered face to face, virtually or in a hybrid format, making it flexible to suit organisational needs. Managers leave with practical tools, increased confidence and a clearer sense of how to support and develop their teams through coaching and mentoring.
