Purpose
The Localism Act 2011 allows all councils to adopt a political management structure which responds to local needs, priorities and ambitions. This workshop provides councils who are considering or are in the process of adopting the ‘committee system’ with the knowledge and skills to make the system work across their local area.

- Understand the decision -making process within a committee model of working
- Understand the implications of the model in terms of the councillor and officer roles, skills required and the impact on political group dynamicsy.
